Earn Up to $1,000 By Referring Foster Parents to The Next Door
Our Therapeutic Foster Care program at The Next Door Inc. (TNDI) is a higher level of foster care serving youth who have emotional, behavioral, and/or medical needs. Through trauma-informed care, we help youth in our foster care program heal, grow and develop with support from a caring foster parent.
The Next Door’s foster parents receive 24-hour on-call support, trauma-informed training, including a monthly meeting for support and training, and two (2) paid days off per month. Full-time foster parents are provided with a monthly reimbursement of around $2,100/month untaxed per youth in their care, while weekend/respite foster parents are paid a nightly rate.
Now more than ever, teens in Hood River and The Dalles need supportive foster homes, and you can earn a cash reward for referring someone to become a TNDI foster parent! Simply let them know about our program, have them call or email us, and we'll take it from there.
To qualify, the individual must identify you as their referral source when they apply. When they complete certification and accept respite placement, you’ll earn $500. If they complete certification and accept full-time placement, you'll earn a $1,000 cash reward.
Here are some requirements for becoming a certified foster parent:
Live in either Hood River County or Wasco County
Have a bedroom dedicated to foster youth
Pass fingerprint-based background checks
Complete 32-hours of initial training
